‘Kulbarf’ to vie at Bozeman filmfest

Iranian movie ‘Kulbarf’ has made its way to the BZN International Film Festival in Germany.

Directed by Milad Mansouri, the film will be screened at the 4th edition of Bozeman filmfest.

The film tells the story of porters who gamble their lives on the border for a piece of bread.

The late Ali Ansarian, an ex-footballer and actor who lost his life in a battle with COVID-19, is among the cast members of the flick. The late actor recently won a post-mortem award for his role in the film at the V.i.Z. Film Fest in Bulgaria.

Also among the cast members of the film are Hossein Soleimani, Hossein Mehri, Deniz Motevasseli, Mahtab Servati, Ali Farasati, Artin Amjadi and Payam Ahmadinia.

“The BZN vision is to highlight films that make a positive impact on audiences—stories that showcase the best of the human spirit while inviting a call to action,” the official website wrote.

The 2021 edition of the Bozeman filmfest is scheduled for September 9-12.
